About Gary:Over the course of a three decade career that has taken Gary Halverson from the beaches of the
Hawaiian Islands to band tours entertaining the U. S. Air Force in the Caribbean and the
Mediterranean, as well as well as several pop and country duos and bands that traveled
the United States and Canada there has been one unifying element, music.
By trade Gary is a lead singer and bass guitarist. After spending 8 years entertaining in the
Hawaiian Islands, and a few months in Denver, Colorado, Gary settled in the greater Atlanta,
Georgia area in the mid-eighties playing live music. In 1995 he started Gary's Goodtime Karaoke.
"I found myself wanting to share my love of singing with people in a more participative way.
I didn't want the vocals to be limited by the songs a band knew or people having to play instruments
like at an "open mic" night. Karaoke seems to be the perfect way for me to offer people an
opportunity to do what I love most...sing. My shows are all about my customers...offering them
the songs they want to perform using the highest quality equipment and mixing their vocals just
so. They are the stars of my show", says Gary.
In 1998 Gary married his wife Roxanne and they are now living in Alpharetta, Georgia
with their children.
